Ghana has been hit by a setback after losing woefully in the 2021 African cup of Nations held within the Month of January this year and to end in February.
Several names have popped up for suggestions as to whom the mantle should be given to stare the affairs of football within the country. Names Such as Otto Addo, George Boateng, Sellas Tetteh have popped up but the fact is clear to us.
Who has achieved more with Ghana, its no doubt Mr. Sellas Tetteh, he took the U20 world cup for Ghana in 2010 and since then no coach has repeated that record or achieved anything different with the Male side. He took the U17 Team to Attain a Silver Medal after losing to France which had standard players such as Paul Pogba, Mbappe etc.
He can scout for players, he discovered players such as Agyemang Badu, Sammy Agyei, Kwadwo Asamoah, Jonathan Mensah and other player we are seeing and benefiting from today, he understands the local league better and can make out players to add to the national team selection.
Sellas Tetteh was later hired by the Sierra Leone Football Association to Coach their National Team for Six Months, he resigned after engaging them and they were able to qualify to the African Cup of Nations Tournament in 2021 and have impressed with their start though he resigned.
His efforts in their team has given them results in Sierra Leone. On 14 August 2015, Tetteh was given a temporary contract for three months, to become caretaker of the Sierra Leone national team.
