The incumbent Member of Parliament (MP) for the Sekondi Constituency in the Western Region of Ghana, Honourable Andrew Egyapa Mercer reveals minority’s intention against the approval of tax on electronic transactions (E- levy) on live radio.
According to Honourable Andrew Egyapa Mercer, the minority’s intention is that, if the tax on electronic transactions (E-Levy) is approved, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government will be able to break the eight (8) for National Democratic Congress (NDC) government to still remain in opposition because of the benefits that will be derived from the tax on electronic transactions.
Honourable Andrew Egyapa Mercer said, this is because, the revenue that will be earned from the tax on electronic transactions (E-Levy) can be use to build more hospitals, pay interest rate on loans, aid in national development and prevent the leaders from requesting loan from foreign countries.
