Nima has taken over the news headlines for the past few days after a bloody clash between two violent gangs. The situation which saw exchanges of gunshots in broad daylight has gotten many Ghanaians talking about how some young people have decided to take the laws into their hands by firing gunshots at any given time.
Now, most residents living in Nima are scared for their lives. The leader of Okada riders in the area, Sadique reveals that they have resolved to halt operation temporarily because one of their members received gunshots during the exchanges. The police have since arrested about nine suspects linked to the violence but the residents want the police to go the extra mile.
Ibrahim is one of the youth leaders in the community. After the incident, he became worried and confronted the police leadership who were deployed to the community to ensure peace. He had a face-to-face interaction with them and indicated that Nima has for many years been in the news for all the bad reasons. Violent clashes accompanied by unresolved killings have taken over the community.
Ibrahim admitted to the police in an interaction captured by Citi News and Monitored by BeaNana that there are bad people all over in the community who are always causing confusion but some of them are peaceful. According to him, many violent people have guns in the community and use them to cause harm to others but immediately they are arrested, they find their way back to the community. To Ibrahim, it is about time the police take away the bad nuts for Nima to be a free community. Ibrahim and his boys seem to be ready in assisting the police with information to grab the bad people in Nima.

In the meantime, police presence in the community is still high. In almost every street, armed police officers are seen providing security to avoid another violent crime. The police administration has also indicated that the leader of the violent gangs has been identified as Kumordji and Bombo. The two, are said to have influenced the shooting with their followers.

They can play various roles in easily identifying the bad nuts and that can bring lasting peace for Nima to be free.
