Police men at madina police station have descended on crafty robbers who have stormed some places at madina and attacked their victims.
Last week Saturday was one of the most intensive and terrifying patrols for many residents who had not witnessed the seriousness and wrath of the police force on robbers.
Robbers had invaded some homes and have attacked some vehicle owners and that was all because they took advantage of the least opportunity they had.
From reports, these robbers had been chased from Shiashie and had been reported to the madina police who upon being alarmed of where they were heading decided to act.
The immediate action of the police saved the day and we commend them for that. Inspector Festus Nana Kwame Tufuor whiles speaking to the media revealed that the police are on their feet.
They are ready to combat these robbers with whatever it takes because he as a police inspector is aware of how serious robberies have become.
The unbearable situations that most people find themselves in is what has forced the police to act fast and as quick as they can.
According to the police, two suspects are in custody. They earlier snatched a vitz 2016 vehicle from the owner and allegedly broke his leg.
Aside this, the speed at which they run off with the vehicle caused series of accidents and many other destructions on the road.
They were arrested after firing a first shot at the police forcing the police to counter and act immediately.
After the arrest, one pistol and a pump action gun with series of ammunitions were retrieved. They are in custody and are being processed before court.
This is an investigation that according to the police might take a lot more time than usual because two of the names mentioned so far are suspects who have been wanted for sometime. We applaud the competence of the police again as they cloak us with their intelligence.
