Prof Gyampo: It’s Foolish Talk To Tell Teachers To Resign If They Aren’t Happy With Their Condition

 University of Ghana’s Professor Ransford Yaw Gyampo has asserted that, people who are asking teachers to resign because they are seeking better condition of service are talking foolishly.

His comments comes as a result of some people at national labor commission criticizing the University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG) for their ongoing strike.

 In a post sighted on his official Facebook page on Thursday, 13th January 2022 he said;

“Telling Teachers that if they aren’t happy with their Conditions of Service, they should resign, is the most foolish talk that can only proceed from the bucal cavity of a small-minded person who couldn’t fully benefit from formal education”.

In a separate post, Prof Gyampo wrote, “Being aware of grievances and imminent strike action; doing nothing proactive to prevent them; and calling a meeting when the strike kicks in, just to impress the appointing authority, is INCOMPETENCE PERSONIFIED-NLC & FWSC” .

UTAG declared indefinite strike on Monday, 10th January 2022.
