Celebrities dating or marrying other celebrities usually don’t last in the Ghana showbiz. No withstanding that, there have been some celebrities who have successfully been together as couples.
1. Medikal and Fella Makafui
Hiplife superstar Medikal has been married to his voluptuous wife Fella Makafui for a year now. It would be recalled that the ‘la hustle’ hitmaker married his sweetheart in a melodramatic wedding in Accra in which his wife staged an ill-advised fainting scene.
They remain one of the most popular celebrity couples and have welcomed their first child-Island.
2. MzGee and Raymond Acquah
Raymond Acquah and MzGee started their romantic relationship while both worked at Accra’s Multimedia Group Ltd.
MzGee since has moved to rival media house Media General where she hosts Showbuzz while Raymond is still with the Multimedia Group Ltd and host of Upfront on Joy Prime.
3. Cartel Big J and Selly Galley
Cartel Big J, a.k.a Praye Tiatia started dating in and around 2012 when the former was a member of Music trio ‘Praye’.
Selly Galley, an actress and TV presenter has had a presenting gig with Joy Prime and famously represented Ghana at the Big Brother Africa reality TV show in South Africa in 2014.
They have been married since 2015 and remain one of the visible celebrity couples.
4. Okyeame Quophi and Stacy Amoateng
The former member of Akyeame and the former presenter of TV3’s ‘Music Music’ have been married for close to ten years now.
Ghana’s foremost celebrity couple are still very active in the showbiz space: Quophi, presently the CEO of Emklan Studios and Stacy the CEO of Angel Broadcasting Company Ltd.
