The eyes of African football fans and also football fans across the world are fixed on the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Cameroon. Each of the 24 countries have played their first respective games in the tournament.
Out of the 12 games played by the teams in the first round of the tournament, only 2 of them ended in a draw. This shows how competitive the tournament is. Before the next set group games is underway, let us take a look at the various group tables. Which countries are at the top and which countries are at the bottom?
Cameroon, Guinea, Gabon, Nigeria, Côte d’Ivoire and Gambia are the leaders in their respective groups. On the other hand, Ethiopia, Zimbabwe, Ghana, Egypt, Equatorial Guinea and Tunisia are at the bottom of their respective groups. Check below for the tables of the six groups:
