SIM Card Registration Is Needed To Curb The Growing Rate Of Crime In The Country- Kojo Oppong Nkruma

Member of Parliament for Ofoase-Ayirebi constituency and Minister for Information, Honourable Kojo Oppong Nkrumah has earlier today revealed the main reason why it is very necessary for any Ghanaian to take part in the ongoing SIM Card registration.

Speaking on Kessben FM’s morning programme which is dubbed “Maakye“, Honourable Kojo Oppong Nkrumah revealed that the ongoing SIM Card registration is to help curb the alarming growth of crime in the country. He stated that some people buy the SIM Card, they don’t register and they start to commit crimes with it. He explained that the rise in scam is all as a result of the telcos not having proper data of their customers.

Again, he stated that they are trying to stop terrorism with the SIM registration.When asked about what he thinks about the long queues at the premises of these telcos. He stated that they are putting in place the suggestions of Ghanaians and he thinks they will soon make it convenient for people to register their SIM Cards.
