The latest update has it that the Police Command invited the complainant yesterday for discussion on the matter. According to Nana Amoah, the Police Command corrected the misconception that the named officer; Twumasi, who was detailed to investigate the matter, was compromising investigation by not attending to it even when some material evidence was offered by the complainant.Â
It has been established that Twumasi was reassigned to another case hence his response to Mr Samuel Nana Amoah that “he is busy” was right.Â
“They also made me understand that Tumasi was not responsible for my case and he was assigned a different duty as at the time I called him which made him unavailable to attend to me at the time I needed him,” he wrote on Facebook.Â
The Police after a lengthy conversation with Mr Samuel Nana Amoah assured of exhausting every lead to bring those behind that burglary to book. In the meantime, one suspect has been named after the complainant personally tracked his location via the internet.
Itemised bills that were presented to the Police after the raid runs into tens of thousands of Ghana Cedis. They include iPhones, laptop, woofers, rice cooker, internet router and a cash of Five Thousand and Four Hundred Ghana Cedis (GHC5,400.00).
Mr Samuel Nana Amoah prayed that despite the delays, the Police could crackdown on the suspects and restore his lost properties in time. He emphasised that the Police deserve a chance to prove its integrity despite the odds that he had experienced lately.
He took the opportunity to update his social media followers and especially activists Yayra Koku and Kwame A-Plus about the matter. He thanked them for their support while hoping that justice will be served.Â
