Loud Silence Media journalist, Kevin Taylor has hit hard on the King of the Ashantis. Speaking on his evening program on Facebook, Kevin Taylor made it clear that, Otumfour Osei Tutu is always speaking for the government but he never speaks anything against them when the government do things wrong.
He urged Otumfour to stop defending the government in everything and speak on issues that are worrying Ghanaians and his region.
He also urged Otumfour to concentrate on his Kingship and allow politicians to do their work.
Kevin Taylor again questioned the reason why Otumfour is urging Journalists in Ghana to know their limit during a launch in Kumasi.
Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II asked media practitioners to disabuse their minds of the notion that their freedom is without bounds. He told Journalist to know the limit in their work. Otumfuo Osei Tutu II also said the greatest asset of the journalism profession is credibility of one’s reportage.
He reminded journalists of their responsibilities to promote peace, cohesion and national development.
Kevin Taylor believes that, Otumfour shouldn’t have made such statement against Journalist because this government is trying to control journalism in Ghana. He also added that Journalist in Ghana know their limit already.
