    This morning on Onua Tv, Popular Journalist, Captain Smart has listed the country’s Ghana imported cassava from last year despite the planting for food and jobs flagship programÂ
    He mentioned them on live tv as he scrolled through a research he made on google. According to his list, cassava is among the 137,000 products Ghana imported last yearÂ
    The countries he named were Egypt, China, United Kingdom , and the United States of America. He added that this is the information google has given him and he didn’t write them himself.
    If what Captain Smart said is true, then we have a serious problem as a nation especially when have a program like planting for food and jobs. With our fertile lands, the least of our problems shown be the production of foodstuffs.
    No wonder the Cedi keeps depreciating against the Dollar. If this should continue, importing of Cassava, then we will have a long way to go as a country. Who would have thought we would get to a time where a country like Ghana will import cassava?
