. As usual, they go with the nickname Ansec. Therefore, every student is known to be an Ansecan.Â
.The School is built on a mountain, that gives them a special slogan; ‘Upon the mountain, we are perched to be seen and not to be heard’.
. You will get access to view the Volta lake in the school. The lake lies below the mountain. Students relax under trees to watch the lake to refresh themselves.
. Just like any other Presbyterian school, blue, white, and blue-black are their traditional colors.Â
. Ansec has 5 interesting houses;
Ramseyer with red house jersey
Okoh with blue house jersey
Lochman with white house jersey
Kumi with yellow house jersey andÂ
Volta with greenhouse jersey.
. The crest of the school has a river, mountain, bible, and red cross. Their motto goes as service and sacrifice.
. The school’s biggest hall is a multipurpose one. It hosts Church service, dining, quiz competition, and other gatherings. Due to how it is used, they mostly call it Dinning hall.
. Ansec is a school that respects discipline. If you mess up mistakenly, you will be sent home.
. The school has security checkpoints but is free from walls. People walk freely into and out of the school through various means.
. The school has a sickbay with a nurse.
I have been into the school before, I suggest more improvement to be done in terms of infrastructure. The school’s Science Lab has to be equipped. More ovthehey visual arts department needs a studio to enhance teaching and learning.
Instead of fighting in Parliament and buying unnecessary Christmas trees that money should be used to improve Anum Presby Secondary School
