 However, when she turned three her life completely changed. It was after one fine evening after playing with her mates when she went home and her body temperature was exceedingly high and her eyes also had turned yellow.
When her grandma, Mauriciana, saw her condition, she immediately brought her to the hospital. Doctors injected her with the drug, but soon saw that she had a lot of black patches all over her body. Marita’s body began to dry up after being moved to multiple hospitals without assistance.
Amputation of Marita’s legs was recommended by the doctors at that point, and she recovered entirely and was no longer unwell following the procedure.
Witchcraft was prevalent in the area where they resided, according to her. Now living with her grandma, Marita claims that she lost both of her legs due to witchcraft.
It wasn’t long before Marita’s parents were arguing and blaming each other for what was happening to their daughter.
 When they couldn’t agree, they broke up. For fear of being hunted down by the witchcraft, Afrimax claims that the parents broke up from each other. They fled to unknown locations and were never seen again.
Because she feels that her parents abandoned her when she needed them most, Marita isn’t convinced if seeing them is something she wants to do.
Marita’s parents divorced because of her condition, she claims. Her mother, who has only seen her once since she was abandoned by her parents, says this. In the years after she was abandoned by her parents, Marita’s main request has been that she be given a wheelchair to help her go around.
