The Good Side Of Muammar Gaddafi That Most People Don’t Know And How He Changed Libya

For 41 years until his demise in October 2011, Muammar Gaddafi did some truly amazing things for his country and repeatedly tried to unite and empower the whole of Africa.

As soon as Gaddafi took over the equation changed. He closed all the military bases and nationalised the oil and banks sectors. He also kicked out all the Italians and authorised Libyans who used to work for them to own and run their businesses.

Gaddafi brought Egyptian companies to build house school and hospitals for all Libyan in all over the country. He made Education is free and compulsory for all Libyans which made the illiteracy changed from highest in the region to the lowest in the Arab world just in ten years of his governing.

He will be remembered in a good way for a long time though humans are very ungrateful and slanderer as usual had created the biggest damage every where, no wonder Allah says he has created some of the humans and jinns as the fuel of the hell fire together with stones.

1. Free Education and Medical treatment

Under Gaddafi, Libya could boast one of the best healthcare services in the Middle East and Africa. Also if a Libyan citizen could not access the desired educational course or correct medical treatment in Libya they were funded to go abroad.

2. During his reign, all newly weds would be given $ 50000 by his government. This was to help them buy a house or rent an apartment to start their new life.

3. Banks could not charge interest on loans while he was in power. Any Libyan may take out a loan and pay it back, minus any interest, with no strings attached.

4. The government used to pay for any Libyan who required medical treatment that wasn’t available in their country to travel overseas. As far as their education is concerned, they will be sent abroad.

5. l If citizens were unable to find the education or medical facilities they needed in Libya, the government would fund them to go abroad for it. Not only was this all for free but they also received $2 300 a month for accommodation and a car allowance.

The media have painted Muammar Gaddafi as a hard-core dictator, tyrant or whatever you want to call him. The media, as usual, have also failed to show the kind, giving Gaddafi we have never heard about.

Gaddafi, unlike most dictators, has managed to show his humane side, the very side we dream of seeing in other dictators who are all talk. But what do you think of Gaddafi was he a bad leader after all?
