CCTV Footage Shows Guard Winning Against A Bank Robber In a Shootout

Over the years, movies have popularised heist or robbery movies. However, it is not a pleasant experience to have especially for customers, workers, and guards.

CCTV cameras placed in banks correctly depict how real bank robberies end. Sometimes the robbers get the upper hand and can rob the banks, other times the guards hired by the banking institution live up to expectations and stop such crimes.

A CCTV video of a bank robbery that happened in Rockford, Illinois has gone viral. It is a robbery that went badly for the bank robber.

The Surveillance footage showed the bank robber getting out of his black SUV parked outside the bank. He attempted after noticing fewer customers patronizing the bank.

He then run into the bank and announced the robbery, thus leading to the staff going down for cover to avoid being shot.

The security guard is then alerted to the danger posed by the robber and then draws his gun, and the gunfight begins. The guard being the first to land his shots on the robber, gained the upper hand and landed four successive shots in total.

The robber realizing his plans had been ruined to the fullest and his life being in danger turned to run, however, his injuries were fatal, and he collapsed at the entrance of the bank and passed away.

Self-Protection Tips When You Are At The Bank

1. Don’t Be At Banks Longer Than Necessary

Banks and financial institutions are considered “Transitional Spaces” (Transitional Spaces in Self Defense are simply places where one must be more aware of potential attacks). Would-be robbers may simply be waiting for the right time to rob victims, therefore it is more advisable to handle your bank transactions diligently and leave those premises as fast as you can.

2. Ask the Bank for Assistance, Not Strangers

Usually, when filling forms, or carrying out some transitions, customers often face a hurdle or two. It is advisable to consult the bank staff for help rather than seeking help from fellow customers. This helps protect your private information.
