The Parliament of Ghana has announced a new date to commence sitting for its eighth parliament second session on Tuesday 25 January 2022.
In the statement issued by the parliamentary service, the previous date which was on the 18th January 2022 will no longer hold.
“The Parliamentary Service wishes to inform all Honourable Members and Staff of the Parliamentary Service that the Second Session of the Eighth Parliament of the Fourth Republic will commence on Tuesday 25th January 2022 at Ten O’clock in the afternoon at Parliament House, Accra”. The statement said.
The house was unable to pass the controversial electronic transaction levy in 2021 which was adjourned to 18th of January 2022 but has been shifted forward to Tuesday,24th January 2022.
It is therefore announced that all honorable members of the house should take note and attend accordingly.
“All Honourable Members and Members of Staff are entreated to take note and attend upon the House timeously”. The statement added.
