According to the reports, swift life saving calls made to the police saved the life of Jamaican music legend Popcaan who was in the club. The Police quickly moved him to safety and managed to effect some arrest.
The determined bad and Notorious robbers were reportedly bent on stealing from the music star despite fierce resistance by his security details. It’s alleged that, Popcaan became a target for armed robbery attacks after publicising how he has come to Ghana to spend several dollars on vacation.
Indeed he wasn’t bragging. He reportedly spent 15 million dollars on just one bottle of liquor in Accra. Ghana’s name would have been ruined had it not been the intervention of the police.
Radio One also carried the story and congratulated the Ghana Police Service for their swift action in restoring calm.
