Manchester United Made Contact With Borrusia Dortmund Defender Dan Axel Zagadou.

According to reports, Manchester United and Newcastle United are interested in signing Borrusia Dortmund center back Dan Axel Zagadou, with the Red Devil’s already taking steps to bring him to Old Trafford.

Zagadou came into the youth rank at Paris Saint Germain but never made a first team appearance for the French giants and made a switch to Borrusia Dortmund in 2017, aged just 18. Whiles he is a promising young defender, Zagadou has been hampered with injuries throughout his stimt in Germany.

In four year at Signal Iduna Park, the 22 year old had featured just 80 games, splashing in with 4 goals and assist. To put his injury worse in context, Zagadou has missed 77 matches with Borrusia Dortmund over the past four and half a season.

Despite his injury problems, the youngster continues to be held in high regard, with Manchester United showing an interest in his service. The reports claiims that, the interim manager Ralph Rangnick is the driving force behind the Red Devil’s interest in the French man, having tried to bring him to Leipzig in 2017 before Zagadou moves to Dortmund.

Manchester United have a packed defensive department with Raphael Varane, Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof, Eric Baily and Phil Jones who has been reintegrated into the first team. In addition with Teden Mengi who is also knocking on the door and Axel Tuanzebe also returning from loan spell in the summer.

Zagadou has, this emerged as a transfer target for Manchester United. The Red Devil’s has already made a contact with his agent to explore the possibility of a move when his contract expires at the end of the season. However the Red Will have to battle Newcastle United in pursuit of the French man. So Manchester United will have a huge challenge at their hand to complete the signing of the ex- Paris Saint Germain starlet.
