Dr. William Ruto, president of Kenya, will be spending the New Year away from the country. Ruto and his family celebrated Christmas Day at their house in Sugoi, Uasin Gishu County, and then attended a church service with other believers. However, he appears to have different intentions this time.
In order to ring in 2023, the President plans to spend the evening at an interfaith ceremony in Mombasa with the saints. From what we can gather, he plans to put his political promises for the coastal area into action during his visit.
According to Mohammed Ali, the current Nyali MP and the president’s supporter, the president’s intentions to restructure the Kenya Ports Authority and revitalise the economy of the coast region through manufacturing, commerce, and value addition will be discussed during the president’s next visit to Mombasa. He also said that the KPA’s Managing Director and Chairperson are still being selected.
