Azimio La Umoja-One Kenya coalition party leader Raila Odinga’s spokesperson Professor Makau Mutua, has weighed in on the impeachment of embattled Meru County governor Kawira Mwangaza.
Taking to his social media pages, Mutua faulted Kawira Mwangaza’s leadership style, however, he noted that the offenses that led to her impeachment by the Members of the County Assembly are not enough for the move they took.
He accused the Meru members of the county assembly of being out of tge line adding that impeachment is a serious issue that should not be handled casually.
“I am not impressed by how Governor Kawira Mwangaza has run Meru County thus far, but she hasn’t committed a single IMPEACHABLE offense.” Professor Makau Mutua posted on his Twitter handle.
“The Meru MCAs are out of line, and the Senate must call their bluff. Impeachment is a nuclear option that must be exercised with great care.” He added.
