APC Should Remove All Its Posters On Public Structures In Ebonyi State Before Dec 31st-David Umahi

Governor David Umahi of the Ebonyi State has now requested that the All Progressives Congress take down all of its signs from public buildings by December 31.

The Ebonyi state governor also fined the APC 5 million naira for breaking the terms of the state’s Executive Order 3 of 2022, according to a report on Punch News.

Remember when the APC governor issued a decree banning political parties from erecting signs on crucial infrastructure without first receiving permission from the state?

Governor Umahi expressed his displeasure with political parties’ conduct in a statement released on Sunday by the Ebonyi state commissioner for information and orientation, Uchenna Orji, in Abakaliki. In particular, he said he was disturbed by the political parties’ pasting of posters on flyover bridges, meridians, concrete highways, and electric poles.

The APC’s punishment, according to him, acted as a message to other political parties in his state who had been making the same mistakes.

The APC covered the infrastructure with posters, especially as its presidential and governorship campaigns in the state got under way. This inspired other political parties to do the same. The party is fined N5 million for violating both the law and the executive directive.
