The former Anambra state governor and the Labour Party presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Gregory Obi, has vowed that if hopefully elected come 2023 as the president of the federal republic of Nigeria, his government would put an end to university strike such that for students, four years would be four years and five years would be five years in school.
Mr. Peter Obi made the promise during the Labour Party presidential campaign rally in Bayelsa state which was held at the Oxbow Lake Pavilion in Yenogua today, Friday.
Peter Obi, while addressing the people of the state about what his government if hopefully elected and they vote him in as the next president, would do for the betterment of Nigeria, said that they would ensure that there is no strike again in the Nigeria universities and that the scheduled time for each course would be the time each student would spend in school without delay of universities strike.
“We will ensure there is no strike again in our universities, four years will be four years, five years will be five years, I and senator Yusuf Datti and will secure Nigeria. We will make sure there is rule of law in Nigeria. Police will not harass anyone on the road, police will not stop students from carrying laptops again.
