Ibadan-based comedian, Oluwatobi Owomoyela popularly known as Peteru, is dead.
He reportedly passed away on Wednesday following a battle with cancer.
In a video posted early on Thursday, actress Muyiwa Ademola, who was mourning the deceased, said, “This is a really hard pill to swallow! How was it possible for this happy, kind man to leave the world in such a way? Oh, it’s OK.
We don’t even know what each of us is going through individually, so please be kind to one another! Peteru died of cancer, I discovered. Despite the load you were carrying, you were always smiling. All is good. All is good. All is good. Well done, fantastic dude. I’m at a loss for words right now.
In support of Peteru, actress Funmi Awelewa also posted on her Facebook.

Peteru was renowned for his distinctive mimicry of human speech and delivery. In Ibadan, he was also an MC and an on-air personality.
