Spokesman of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP Presidential Campaign Council, Mr Charles Aniagwu says Nigerians would prefer to elect the party’s Presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar in the 2023 general election because he understands the issues plaguing the country.
Speaking on AIT, on Monday night, Aniagwu said Atiku Abubakar and his running mate, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa understood the issues more than other party candidates and have articulated a policy document “My Covenant With Nigerians” to address the myriad of challenges bedeviling the country.
Atiku would bring his extensive expertise as a successful businessman, a former Vice President, and the Chairman of the National Economic Council to bear on the role if elected President in 2023, according to the Presidential Campaign Spokesman.
Aniagwu claims that Atiku Abubakar is the candidate who stands head and shoulders above all others in terms of ability to govern, familiarity with the issues, and mental acuity. He represents a lot of advantages for the nation.
He possesses the necessary expertise to cope with instability, economic recovery, job creation, infrastructure development, and, of course, the necessity to unite the nation.
“We think Atiku is the only candidate who possesses the skills and equipment required to function successfully and rationally in the face of the nation’s problems.
“If you look at the numerous concerns he has raised, you can tell that he is aware of them, as Atiku was well-prepared when he started his campaign about how he intended to improve the lives of Nigerians.
He said that the man was “very much prepared to face the issues of hunger and poverty, instability, divisiveness, and a broken economy.”
Aniagwu, who serves as Delta’s Commissioner for Information, added that Atiku Abubakar could be compared to a consultant with the surgical and clinical expertise needed to address Nigeria’s economic woes and pull the country out of the pit that the APC-led federal government has dug for it.
In the general election of 2023, he predicted that Atiku-Okowa will triumph handily across the nation because the party would be able to field candidates in every state and federal constituency as well as every senatorial district.
