Nigerian brand influencer, Adeola Adeyemi, popularly known as Diiadem, has decided to speak on how she started taking care of herself while growing up, and how far she has come in life.
The businesswoman who spoke about such issues during an interview with Chudeity few hours ago, revealed that being an influencer of a brand is never an easy task because people now buy likes, comments and even followers on social media platforms, adding that she also pays influencers to influence her brand despite being in such profession.
Moving further, Diiadem revealed that she wanted to be a makeup artist while growing up, but she was faced with lots of insults and challenges from her boss
Speaking about her past relationship, Diiadem revealed that she received lots of abuse from her partner when she was 6 weeks pregnant because he accused her of cheating on him, adding that she had to call off their marriage when such abuse got worse.
According to the influencer, she is always close to her daughter because she never experienced motherly love as a child, adding that she never knew her mother until she was 13 years old.
Speaking about her childhood experience, Diiadem revealed that;
“I have been fending for myself since I was 14, there was a time when my sister wanted to take her life and I had to stop her because she wanted to leave only me. The first time I went to Ibadan was when I ran out of my father’s house. I sold pure water under the bridge and slept in uncompleted buildings, I was 10 or 11. My growing up is not something to be proud of”.
Diiadem further revealed that her father married many wives and never took care of them when they were little, adding that she felt jealous each time she saw her friend with her mother during such period of her life.
The entrepreneur finally revealed that she never chose to be a single mother, but she wanted to have someone that she will responsible for.
