Venue And Kick-Off Time
The third place match of the world cup will see the Vatreni of Croatia take on the Atlas Lions of Morocco on Saturday by 16:00 WAT at the Khalifa international stadium.
Match Preview
The Croatians failed to qualify to the finals after being knocked out by the Albicelestes in the competition, ending their hopes of making it to the competition’s final for the second time in a row.
They, however, have a chance at consolation when they take on Morocco in a battle for the bronze medal on Saturday.
Morocco became the most successful African country in the world cup, when they qualified to the last four of the competition, however, their ambition of making it to the final was cut short by the Les Bleus of France.
However, ending the campaign with a bronze medal will still be considered as success in the tournament, as no one ever expected them to go this far in the tournament.
