Ado Doguwa, the Majority Leader of the House of Representatives, stated on Tuesday that the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate Bola Tinubu is another version of President Muhammadu Buhari.
He described Tinubu as “someone who can think ahead of time,” with international connections and an exemplary governor of Lagos State.
Mr. Doguwa made this statement on Channels Television’s Politics Today.
When discussing Buhari’s administration, Doguwa argued that the constitutionally mandated eight-year limit curtailed Buhari’s scorecard on security and education.
Mr. Doguwa said, “If you’re talking about the level of our education, whether at the universal basic level, secondary school level, or even tertiary level, we’ve made significant progress.
“The fact is that Muhammadu Buhari cannot be expected to do everything at the same time—four or eight years in office cannot be enough to undo the messes and problems created by the PDP’s misrule.
“We’ll need much more than four or eight years to finish everything. And the fact remains that you have a new Buhari in Tinubu. You now have master strategists on your team. You have a master planner now.”
