Nananom and Residents of Nkotumso- Nkasawura Community in the Upper Denkyira West District in the Central Region has emphatically called on the President of the Republic, Ministry of Chieftaincy and National House of Chiefs to expedite the court case of Nkasawurahene of Denkyira Traditional Area, Doduo Biribi Aduonum- Gyeabour at Cape Coast High Court.
The eleven years outstanding chieftaincy dispute has detriment the socioeconomic development of the community and the other surrounding communities, affecting the investors coming down to create jobs for the teaming youths.
As a result of absence of leadership of the community, many social devices and high rate of teenage pregnancy has enveloped the community.
The Residents vehemently fingered in the slow pace for the Counselor for Defendants, dragging out the case and appealing for extension of two weeks to present judgement to the court house to proceed.
In an interview with Elder of the Community, Opanyin Kofi Addai lamented on the current situation of the community.
The affected lands, rampant robbery cases, teenage pregnancy and lack of social amenities due to absence of leadership of the community and urged the Authorities to intervene the situation.
