The lady said she met her late husband called Issah, who was a palm wine tapper in Kokode, they go into a relationship for months before they decided to marry. Fortunately, she got pregnant a few months after they went to stay to be together.

Two years after giving birth, Issah fell ill and was no longer able to work, although he went to the hospital for treatment, but his health condition didn’t improved. The man then returned to his hometown for further treatment. Fortunately, her husband recovered after 6 months and he returned to work while she supported him in everything.

Abena says she was happy to see her husband again but he fell ill again two weeks later, the man was taken from the hospital to seek medical treatment. She was hoping for the man to get well again but he died later that night whilst receiving treatment. The lady went on to say that is was a sad thing that happened in her life but she tried hard to move on with her life. She returned to her hometown with her only child after her husband’s funeral.

Unfortunately, her in-laws did not send her money to take care of her child or visit her. She has to work hard and take care of the kid alone. A few months ago, her brother-in-law sold her late husband’s property without giving her some of the money to support the child. Abena added that she doesn’t earn much from her work to even pay her child fees so she is pleading with her in-laws to give her some of the money they got from selling her husband’s property.
