When the elderly people said; ‘never argue with a fool, because if you do…they will bring you to their level of foolishness, and beat you with experience’; many understood that as a harsh talk, or an insult. But in realty, these are words of wisdom, and only the wise could understand.
As at now, almost every Ghanaians living in Ghana and abroad agree to the fact; that currently, the situations in Ghana has gone far beyond propaganda.
It could again be realized, that what ever is happening in Ghana now, has nothing to do with big talks or data…but reality.
Talking about the reality of situations on the ground now; we cannot mention hardships without making references to the big and great promises from the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) during their 2016 and 2020 election campaigns..
Again, we cannot speak about the current pain and grieves hitting Ghana, without making references to the ‘big lies’ of 2016 and 2020; when Ghanaians where made to believe, that candidate Nana Addo and the NPP, were the game-changers, and the restoration of hope to all Ghanaians.
After saying all these, we may conclude also, that the two main NPP strong-hold regions; the Ashanti and Eastern Regions of Ghana, are the ‘mothers’ of the current hardships, facing Ghanaians; because it was the outcome of their votes, that brought the Nana Addo-Bawumia NPP government to power.
These two New Patriotic Party (NPP) stronghold Regions (the Ashanti, and Eastern Regions), closed their ears to all advises and warnings against bringing the Nana Addo’s NPP to power.
After wasting their votes, and bringing the NPP, led by Nana Addo and Bawumia to power, these two regions have now become laughing stock, because the exchange rate, the high cost of living, and hardships in the country now have exposed them all.
It is a shame now, to see and hear the people of the Ashanti Region crying and complaining of high taxes, low markets, hardships, etc.
The truth is, the Ashanti Region in particular haven’t seen any sufferings yet. When experts and wise men; prior to election 2016 and 2020 warned Ghanaians against this Nana Addo-Bawumia led NPP government, they turned death ears to everything word, and went ahead to bring them to power.
The big advise is; the Ashanti and the Eastern Regions haven’t seen anything yet, the mother of all suffering is yet to hit them.
They must hold their peace, stop making noise and enjoy all the sufferings hinting them under Nana Addo. After-all, the consequences of voting the wrong people to power is something close to disaster; and also, ‘he who pulls the knife, also dies through the knife.
For putting Ghanaians into these hardships, through this current NPP failures, the Ashanti region in particular, must be ready for the worst.
