Founder of IWOODZ Creations, Eric Gyimah, has indicated that the housing problems in the country can be resolved if the government invests in turning cargo containers into houses.
Shipping containers, otherwise known as cargo containers, are getting a new injection of life when households and individuals turn them into stores or means of accommodation.
Interestingly, it is difficult to identify that some beautifully designed buildings are made of shipping containers.
According to Mr Eric Gyimah, one shipping container can provide a means of bath and washroom as well as a bed room. Why then should government hesitate in converting some containers into sleeping abode for the homeless?
Well, experts have stated that the shipping containers may have issues of duration of their usage due to the tendency of rusting. What then is the way forward?
Can government learn a thing or two from other countries who are enjoying these containers.
Experts have indicated that 20 percent to 50 percent is saved if the shipping containers would be used for the housing alternatives.
