Accra Hearts of Oak got their footing wrong in match day one of the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League after losing at Aduana Stars.
Bright Adjei’s 81st minute strike at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park on Sunday nailed the Phobians.
Hearts of Oak head coach, Samuel Boadu was not a happy man after the loss.
“The boys did very well, they created a lot of chances but they squandered all the chances.
“But it’s rather unfortunate it is a little mistake that cost us the goal but we are not down, we are not down.
“Even though we have lost the first game but we have to go back and prepare very well so that in the subsequent matches, the mistakes that we saw here we are going back and correct that mistake and we have to approach those matches ahead of us differently.” Samuel Boadu told StarTimes.
Hearts of are the current MTN FA Cup champions and will play in the CAF Confederation Cup.
