Ghana is considered one of the power house of democracy in the African continent. Although the opposition party mostly disagree with the party in power, they still love themselves.
A picture of Vice President, Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia and John Dramani Mahama smiling at each other, has indeed proved the above assertion that Ghana is deeply rooted in democracy.
In the picture, Vice President Bawumia and former President Mahama came face to face at Dr. Joseph Siaw Agyepong’s father’s funeral .
Bawumia and Mahama are seen closely together, with his hand placed at John Mahama’s shoulder. JM is also seen smiling.
Is it not funny that supporters of these politicians fight and come close to killing each other whenever they meet but ironically, these politicians they fight and kill for, shake hands and exchange pleasantries whenever they meet?
Reactions
Many Ghanaians have reacted to the picture above.
“When we say politicians have created division among supporters but for them very united behind the scene, attackers will come and give you names” A user wrote.
“The hypocrisy of the average Ghanaian is captured in this image. People will insult and throw all kinds of shade at each other but when they meet they will act like the best of friends. ” Another user added.
