The 2022/23 Ghana Premier League will kick start this weekend across various venues in Ghana.
There will be eight games coming up this weekend but that will be without the game between current Ghana champions, Asante Kotoko and newly promoted club, Nsoatreman fc at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
Asante Kotoko are out of Ghana to play in the CAF Champions League preliminary stages of the competition after winning the league last season.
The Porcupine Warriors will engage the champions from Burkina Faso and that is Rail Club de Kadiogo in the preliminary round of the CAF Champions League.
The first leg comes up at the Matthieu Kerekou Friendship Stadium in Porto Novo, Bénin and that will be on Monday, September 12.
The return fixture will held at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium a week after the first leg and Kotoko will look to win the game in the first to make the second a mark formality.
Asante Kotoko’s regional rivals, King Faisal will be in action and Awal Mohammed is the PRO of King Faisal and he is confident the Insha Allah boys will come good this season as they start the campaign at Berekum Chelsea.
