Former Ghana international Christian Atsu joins Turkish side Hatayspor on a one-year renewable deal

Former Ghana international Christian Atsu has joined Turkish top-flight side Hatayspor on a one-year deal subject to renewable as he continues with his career.

The much traveled Atsu, joins the Turkish side as a free agent after ending his stay in the Arab world where he last played in Saudi Arabia.

This move, has been confirmed by the Turkish club on their media channels as they welcomed the player to the club.

The former FC Porto and Chelsea player, will hope to revive his career in the Turkish league after seeing his once blistering output, take a nose dive in recent years.

Atsu, burst unto the football scene as a teenage sensation and has also played for English Premiership sides Newcastle United and Everton.

The 30-year old has also played in Spain, the Netherlands and Portugal and, he will be an important addition to the Hatayspor side this season.

He helped the Black Stars to a second placed finish at the African Cup of Nations tournament in 2015 and, has 64 caps for Ghana with 10 goals and nine assists.
