Accra Hearts of Oak have lost a great deal of players ahead of the next Ghana Premier League and the CAF Confederation Cup for next season.
The Phobians released some players who were dimmed surplus to requirement by the head coach, Samuel Boadu.
Hearts of Oak were a toast of their fans last two seasons where they swept the board, winning all there was to win on the domestic scene.
The Phobians were on hand to win the Ghana Premier League title which was their first in over two decades and their 21st league title.
They went ahead to also claim the MTN FA Cup after beating now demoted AshantiGold by 8-7 penalty shootouts at the Accra Sports Stadium and that was at the expense of their arch rivals, Asante Kotoko.
The Phobians however had a patchy continental campaign after exiting the CAF Champions League and the CAF Confederation Cup at the final playoff stage.
Last season they missed out on the league title but managed to claim the MTN FA Cup after coming from a goal down to beat Bechem United 2-1 at the Baba Yara Stadium to win their record 12th title.
Former Hearts of Oak midfielder, “Ansah Botchway has joined Adama City in the Ethiopian premier league.”
