Former Black Stars player Charles Taylor has been explaining why Black Stars of Ghana cannot win this year’s FIFA World Cup in Qatar. He believes the current crop of players are not in top form to compete at the highest level.
“Most of the players of our current squad are not regular starters for their clubs. Some of them are not in the best of form whereas others are also getting injured. For example, Thomas Partey plays two three matches and gets injured. Kudus Mohammed is also not a starter for Ajax which has reduced his form. These players are our top players for the World Cup. There is absolutely no chance we can win the World Cup if we are being truthful to ourselves.” Explained Charles Taylor on Angel TV Sports.
Whereas some are pessimist about Ghana’s chances of lifting the ultimate, others are of the view that Ghana will return home with the glamorous trophy.
