TV3 Ghana posted on its heavily followed social media platform a picture of the Sekondi Takoradi Municipal Assembly Chief Executive, Abdul Mumin Issah.
It is public knowledge that the President has reinstated the suspended mayor of Sekondi Takoradi after an altercation with a police officer at Kwesimintsim on February 3, 2022.
The MCE was arrested and charged with three counts of assault on a public officer, offensive conduct conducive to breaches of the peace and disturbing the peace in a public place contrary to sections 205, 207, and 298 respectively of the criminal and other offences Act 1960, Act 29.
Interestingly, TV3 Ghana revealed that before Thursday’s court sitting, complainant Inspector Andrews Sarfo had written about his desire to discontinue the case.
