NDLEA arrests Lagos airport cleaner ‘who leads drug syndicate’

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) says it has arrested Ohiagu Sunday, a cleaner at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Ikeja, Lagos.

The agency alleged that Sunday leads a drug syndicate at the international wing of the airport.

Femi Babafemi, NDLEA director of media and advocacy, said the suspect was nabbed on Tuesday following the arrest of an intending passenger on an Air Peace flight to Dubai, UAE.

Emir Of Funakaye In Gombe Dies At 45

The Emir of Funakaye, Mu’azu Kwairanga III, has died aged 45. Kwairanga was installed as an emir in May 2021 by Governor Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State.

NDLEA foils attempt to export tramadol, arrests eight

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency has foiled an attempt by a syndicate to export illicit drugs through the Lagos State airport during an outward clearance of passengers on an Ethiopian Airline to Oman via Addis Ababa.

The NDLEA spokesperson, Mr Femi Babafemi, said in a statement on Sunday in Abuja, that a suspect, Jonah Chukwuemeka, was arrested in connection with the drugs.

Don’t divide Nigeria over 2023 election – Olawepo-Hashim to candidates

Mr. Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has warned presidential candidates against further dividing the country in their campaigns ahead of the 2023 election.

He stated this in a press release on Sunday in Abuja.
