John Jinapor Challenged To Bring Evidence On His Claim That Mahama Provides Water For Kyebi

The Member of Parliament for the Yapei Kusalwgu constituency, Honorable John Abu Jinapor, has been exposed for making subjective comments whiles reacting to what Nana Addo told his constituents and Chiefs during the three days working visit in the Northern Region. In an attempt to equalize, John Abu Jinapor jabbed Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo for failing to provide water supply for his own hometown when he was Member of Parliament for the Abuakwa constituency. Abu Jinapor argued that Mahama came to do what he, Nana Addo, could not do for his people.

This equalization assertion made by Abu Jinapor has been countered by a Vice Presidential Staffer, Krobea Kwabena Asante today. Krobea Kwabena Asante explained that the claim by John Jinapor that Mahama sent potable water to Kyebi and its adjoining communities is nothing but a joke.

“Can Jinapor provide any data from Parliament which suggest that the constituencies within that enclave got finances for potable water supply under Mahama? (24th July 2012 to 6th January 2017). The records available underscore the fact that John Agyekum Kufuor started the Koforidua water supply system under his watch which had Old Tafo, New Tafo, Oseim, Sokode, Suhyen, Jumapo, Kukurantumi, Aiyinasin, etc from the Akyem Abuakwa enclave benefiting through the mixed credit facility between GoG and KBC Bank in 2008.”, he argued.

Krobea Kwabena Asante went ahead to give more evidences of how the Late John Evans Atta Mills struggled to secure some funds to extend the water supply. However, there is no record which showed that Mahama even made an effort.

“Also, in 2011, Atta-Mills expanded the water supply for other communities therein to benefit through a credit facility between GoG and Unicredit of Austria in Kibi, Apedwa, etc. Can John Jinapor tell us the facility Mahama took to Parliament for any water supply project within the enclave?”

Thus, it was concluded by Krobea that the Honorable Member was only making a comment backed by emotions.
