I’ve rejected people who wanted to invest N500 million into my campaign – SDP Presidential candidate

The presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party of Nigeria (SDP), Adewole Adebayo appeared on Channels Television to have an exclusive interview and the correspondent asked him how he intends to stop the stealing of public funds. He said that it is a very easy task, as he first thing to do is to run a very lean campaign with minimal exhaustion of funds.

According to him, the campaign should be based on volunteers, and there shouldn’t be an attraction of money to the campaign. Adewole Adebayo said that many people who are close to him often ask him why he is not behaving like other candidates, by spending money.

Adewole Adebayo said that he has had people come to him and offer to put five hundred million in his campaign. He revealed that he always asks those people what is their aim, because the amount INEC allows is not that much. Watch the video here at 0:30 seconds.

He revealed that if a presidential candidate that didn’t spend much on his campaign eventually wins, he won’t be going to the eagle square as a debtor. He also noted that this will allow the president have the freedom to select the best people for each position, home and abroad.
