A 51 years old woman named Comfort Frema from Kokofu shares her ordeal about how her daughter called Akua Afriyie mysteriously got mental illness a month after she got a job at Breman. According to the woman her daughter was employed as fire service personnel just a month ago at Breman-Asikuma. One evening, she received a call from her mother-in-law that her daughter is not feeling well.
She thought that it was a mere sickness, but when her daughter’s colleagues brought her home, she was behaving unusually, she was immediately sent to the hospital for treatment. The woman said her daughter was rushed to the emergency room for treatment but after a thorough examination, the doctors found out that her daughter has got mental illness. Comfort said she was surprised and sad at the same time because her daughter went through a lot challenges before getting her dream job.
The woman added that her daughter spent two weeks whilst receiving treatment before she was discharged. The doctor again prescribed medication for her, they too gave her the medication for some period hoping that she may recover from the illness and go back to her workplace. The mother said her daughter became stable and was able to have a chat with her. Three days ago, the Akua’s condition became worse, she keeps on telling her that she has been seeing her late father.
The lady again revealed to her that they have to pour libations on her father’s tomb before she will recover from the mental illness. Upon hearing this, she too informed her in-laws about what her daughter revealed to her but they have not taken any steps about it. The woman said her daughter too has been threatening to kill herself if they don’t pour the libations on the tomb for her to recover from the mental illness.
