The Minister of Energy, Hon. Mathew Opoku Prempeh, also known as NAPO has finally revealed another unexpected secret about former President, John Dramani Mahama concerning the Ghanaian economy today as compared to John Mahama’s era. Napo boldly revealed that he admits there are challenges in the country now but the NPP has two years to redeem themselves and they will do that.
While speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosisen and discussing the economy of Ghana, Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh revealed that Ghana is in its current state because of Covid-19. He revealed that in terms of minimum wage in the country now as compared to John Mahama’s, the latter was worse.
“ Covid-19 has made several countries resort to IMF for a bailout. In 2015, only Ghana went to IMF for a bailout because of Mahama’s mismanagement. Today, over 100 countries have gone to the IMF because of the effects of Covid-19. So things are bad now but we have two years to redeem ourselves. Even with that, some of our figures are better than John Mahama’s. If you take the Minimum wage today, John Mahama was worse. Interest rates today are also better than Mahama’s. Ghanaians should relax for us.” Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh revealed this.
