29 years old Francisca Oteng Mensah who is currently the youngest Member of Parliament in Ghana has been given a Ministerial Appointment to help President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo’s government or administration.
According to a press release signed by the Director of Communications at the Presidency, Francisca Oteng Mensah will serve as the Deputy Minister of Gender and Social protection. She replaces Honorable Zuweira Abudu who has also climbed up to become the main Gender Minister.
The hardwork of Francisca Oteng Mensah was felt in the 2016 and 2020 elections. Her Constituency became number one in getting votes for President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo in the whole country. In 2016, she garnered almost 100, 000 votes for Akufo Addo in the Kwabre Constituency in the Ashanti Region.
In 2020, she moved extra mile to win over 100, 000 votes for the NPP. Many party faithfuls says that the hardwork of the youngest MP is likely to reflect in her work as Deputy Minister of Gender and Social Protection.
