A police officer and a final year student of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) have allegedly gang-raped a female student in Ashanti Region (Bomso). From report, these two suspects persuaded the female to live campus and meet them at a hotel at Bomso.
The incident occurred on Wednesday, July 20 and one of the two suspects has been named as Frank Adu Poku. He and the final year student are being held in police custody. The suspects allegedly gang raped the victim and also made a video of the whole process. The final year student was kept in custody at the KNUST Police station and the police officer was also held at Ampaidu Police station close to Bomso.
From the instructions of the Inspector-General of Police(IGP), the two suspects were transferred to the regional command after been in custody for almost two weeks.The police are yet to comment on the incident as at the time this report. Follow me for more updates.
