Following the press conference of Ashanti MP’s demanding the residents of Suame, the constituents of Majority Leader, Hon. Kyei-Mensah Bonsu, to apologize to their member of Parliament for the unfair treatment during his visit, another top member of the NPP holds strong exceptions to the demand of the Ashanti MPs.
According to Kofi Ofosu Nkansah, if the Ashanti MPs cannot pamper their constituents which serves as the power house of the new patriotic party, they should not create useless tensions.
According to Kofi Ofosu Nkansah, the actions by the MPs rather had the potential to create more anger and therefore they should desist from it. He urged the MPs to let sleeping dogs lie instead.
Mr Kofi Owusu Nkansah said “The Ashanti Regional NPP MPs caucus should apologize to Party folks in Ashanti for asking Suame residents to apologize and thereby causing further disaffection to our base in Ashanti. If you can’t pamper your people don’t create unnecessary anger,” he said.
The demand of the MPs indeed came as a surprise to everyone because they people have genuine reason to be angry to which the Majority Leader himself admitted.
