Asante Kotoko Board of Directors and management are scheduled for a crisis meeting on Monday, July 25, 2022 to discuss recent happenings in the club. The meeting is expect to bring all board members and management members.
Key among issues to be discussed will be the resignation of head coach Prosper Ogum. Efforts to get Prosper Ogum to reverse his decision have ended in futility. Inside sources reveal that Board Chairman Dr. Kwame Kyei has commenced discussions to bring back Prosper Ogum and that will depend on how they approach the issue.
Another issue to be feature at the meeting will be the club’s transfer policy for upcoming season as some players have left. Already, Fabio Gama and Mudasiru Salifu have left Asante Kotoko, while striker Frank Etouga is reported to have signed for Italian Serie A side Udinese. There is the need for a like for like replacement for these key players.
The club’s participation in CAF Champions League will also come up in the imminent meeting. Asante Kotoko are set to part take in CAF inter club competition after ending last season as Ghana Premier League champions. Plans have to be put in proper place for successful campaign in Africa.
All other matters will be touched on at the meeting.
