Reason Why You Should Not Drink Water Before Going To Bed

Normally when someone is told not to drink water before going sleep, the individual automatically assumes that it has some kind of dangerous side effect. But no! The reason is actually because, it is likely to lead to bed wetting.

Filling your stomach with water before bed, is a cause of bed wetting in some people. Though, other people who bed wet without this reason, needs to see the doctor for check up to find out why.

Also, drinking too much water before bed time is likely to lead to nocturia. Waking up in the middle of the night to take a piss, is what is referred to as nocturia. This greatly affects people with kidney problems and also diabetes. Nocturia can disrupt the sleep cycle and has been known to reduce productivity, cause depression, falls and possibly accidents.

Therefore, people with such problems should reduce the amount of water intake before bedtime. This in turn will ensure proper rest, promote productivity and reduce stress.
