Resign, we want to be orphans – TV3 Presenter boldly tells Finance Minister

Ghanaian journalist and popular TV3 Presenter, Jonny Hughes, has boldly reacted to the Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta, on his assertion that asking him to resign is like asking a father to abandon his children.

It would be recalled that during the last NPP delegates congress, the Finance Minister in an interaction with the media was asked his opinion on the calls on him to resign. The Finance Minister is response said, asking him to resign is like asking a father to abandon his children.

However, Mr Jonny Hughes in reaction to the assertion by the Finance Minister have boldly stated that given the present state of the economy, Ghanaians will prefer to be orphans than to continue under the mess of the Finance Minister. He emphasized that to have him as a father then Ghanaians will gladly prefer to be fatherless.

According to Jonny Hughes, the poor performance of the Finance Minister is part of the reason why some of old executives lost their position.

Be also argued that he is not the only Finance person in Ghana and so he should resign.

The calls on the finance Minister to resign are increasing by the day but his posture doesn’t seem to buy what the critics are saying.
