I’ll Speak The Truth; I’m Not One Of Those That Subscribe To The Assertion That We’re Breaking The 8

A member of the NPP National Communications Team, Mr. Solomon Owusu has reacted to the ongoing slogan or assertion in the NPP that says that “Breaking The Eight”.

In an interview on Joy Prime this morning with Rosslyn Feli as host, the politician made it clear that he is not part of those saying that slogan of the NPP. According to him, he supports that agenda but he is not part of those saying that we are breaking the eight.

He explained his reason and revealed that the NPP should not focus on breaking the eight because they are the party in power now. He added that most Ghanaians are living in poor conditions but the party keeps insisting on breaking the eight. He believes that there is more work to be done for the good people of Ghana. He also added that breaking the eight should be a secondary matter and it will even be decided by the citizens when they are served good by the government.

I am not one of those that subscribe to the assertion that we’re breaking the eight. We have the power. We are only holding on to power. If you say you breaking the eight, that for me should not be the focus. I don’t subscribe to that opinion.”

My whole idea is that we govern Ghana and govern it well. Whether you break the eight or you break the thirty and the good people of this country are living in poverty, you have not done anything” he said.
